Gina Mangieri worked in print and broadcast journalism since the early 1990s in New York, Chicago, London, Washington, D.C. and the West Coast before coming to Honolulu. She has an MBA from the University of Hawaii, and bachelor's and master's degrees in Journalism from Northwestern University.

Gina joined the Emmis Hawaii news stations to launch the KHON2.com and KGMB9.com internet sites in the fall of 2004. Previously Gina was editor of Pacific Business News for five years.
